What is off-plan?
Off-plan property is purchased before construction is complete. You reserve a unit while the building is still being built, pay on a milestone schedule, and receive the home at handover.
-
Launch
Pick a unit from the plan
Sales open at launch or during early construction. You choose a layout, floor, or view from what is still available, not from a finished show home.
-
Reservation
Hold the unit while paperwork starts
A reservation form and initial payment often come first. This locks your place while the Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) is prepared.
-
Construction
Pay as the build progresses
Instalments usually follow construction milestones. You are not expected to pay the full price on day one.
-
Handover
Register and receive the keys
When the project completes, you finish remaining payments, complete DLD registration where required, and take ownership of the unit.
